How CombiPatch® Works
CombiPatch, a small, round, transdermal patch, uses the Delivery Optimized Thermodynamics (DOT) Matrix® delivery system which—when applied as directed to the abdomen of the patient—provides a controlled release of the indicated amount of estrogen and progestin.
CombiPatch is available in two dosing options and can be used as a Continuous Combined regimen or as part of a Continuous Sequential regimen, so you can tailor each patient's therapy.
Estradiol in CombiPatch
- Provides consistent therapeutic levels of estrogen
- Significantly reduces the mean number and intensity of hot flushes
- For women who are interested in the source of the hormones in their therapy, the estrogen (estradiol) in CombiPatch is chemically synthesized from plant sources. This does not imply differences in safety or efficacy
Norethindrone acetate (NETA) in CombiPatch
- Counters proliferative effects of unopposed estrogen therapy among women who have not undergone a hysterectomy
- Reduces endometrial hyperplasia incidence to < 1% following one year of continuous therapy as compared to unopposed estrogen
